Xatt Juan B. Azopardo is the coastline street on the north-eastern side of Senglea, one of the “Three Cities” of Malta, lying on the great harbour, opposite the capital Valletta. Originally the city was called L’Isla and the maltese still call it that way today. The city withstood the great turkish siege and later the air bombings in world war 2. However it was largely destroyed then and rebuild in a simpler style. Our streetline panorama here hides the fact that the street is actually curved exactly in the middle of the picture. It is stitched together like a straight street to show the whole facade in one impressive view.
