Situated in Thorndon, an inner suburb of New Zealands capital Wellington, this quite steep street doesn’t only show the typical “Kiwi housing style”, it is also the beginning of the magnificent Northern Walkway and placed right opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Since New Zealand is a relatively young country, existing houses, as shown here, are usually under 100 years old and were built of either timber / weatherboard or brick cladding with timber framing. Corrugated iron or concrete tile are common roofing materials.
