Update:Unfortunately the crowd funding financing didn’t work out in the end for our first test here. However we managed to finnish the Berlin panorama anyway and used it in our 2013 Berlin calendar. The Leipzig panorama has only roughly been arranged, we hope to find the time to finnish it later. You can see both in our archive.

Two of our planned streetline images have been added as crowd funding projects to the Vision Bakery (in german) recently. Crowd funding means that anybody can contribute a small part to the financing of a project, but not as a donation, but for a specific reward. For our projects these are, depending on the amount of contribution, the finnished panoramas as a postcard, download, fine art print or one of the upcoming 2013 calendars. And anybody financing a whole project could get its favourite Streetline in its own city photographed.

From Leipzig we have chosen the Petersstrasse and already started the creation process. These images have been taken before christmas 2011 and cover the whole street from the park at the Leipziger Ring to the christmas market. Here is a first impression:

In Berlin we photographed the Oranienburger Strasse in fall 2011 covering the New Synagogue as well as the old Postfuhramt (Postal Coach Station). If we make that panorama in time it might end up in the Berlin calendar 2013 as well. Another first impression with the Synagogue for Berlin as well:

Since the montage of all the single photos, that we take, into a whole streetline is so time-consuminmg, crowd funding is a great option to see which images are interesting at all to people and hence get finalized. Changing the perspective that also means, anybody being interested in a certain streetline in a certain city could approach us and propose a crowd funding project. What might be expensive for a single person can work via crowd funding if he involves his network and friends.
