A street panorama showing Catherine Street in London’s West End. It is a short street covering only two blocks of houses, running down from Russell Street to Aldwych Street, only metres away from the Strand. Being located in the West End it’s not surprising there are three theatres on the street. Only the Duchess Theatre lies on the south-western side of the street, visible in the panorama. You can see it in the middle of the left block, showing “Sign of the Times” at the time this photo was taken. On the opposite side you could find the Novello Theatre and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. In the distance on the right end side you can see Covent Garden.
