On the east side of Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, not far from Freiburg Minster, we find the so-called Basler Hof. This is a late Gothic building from the end of the 15th century and is today the seat of the Freiburg administrative district, which emerged from the administrative district of South Baden at the end of 1972.
