The Altstadt (literally old town) is a square-like elongated street in central Landshut, Bavaria. Historically it had been the central road through the city. Today the 700 metre long street is mostly a pedestrianized area and the main sight of the bavarian city. Here we see a street block along its western side between Theaterstrasse on the left and Apothekergasse on the right. Parallel to this street we can find a similar street/square to the east which is called Neustadt (literally new town).
Most of the buildings in this streetview are from the 17th to 19th century. The prominent one in the centre is bearing a medaillon with a Madonna and Angels – it is the former guesthouse Silbernagel. We documented more sections of the Altstadt Landshut, including its complete east side with the city hall and St Martins Church, which we will work on at a later point.
